What can I use my personal Agent discount for?
If you are buying products for promotions, giveaways & donations (i.e. you are giving them away for free without getting anything back in return) you can use your personal discount. You can also use your discount when you are buying things for your children and for gifts. Please read the email that was sent with the discount code for more information.
Can people place their orders online through my link?
Yes, this is the ideal way to place orders. You should encourage your
customers to order through your website link as it is the quickest and
easiest way to order, giving you the full 25% commission for little or
no work. If you give a business card out to a potential customer, ask
for their email address and send them a welcome email with your direct
link. This will make it easy for them to go directly to your website
without having to type in anything or remember your address.
Can the gift vouchers I receive be given away as a prize?
Yes, you can give them away in a prize or use them however you like. There is a downloadable Gift Voucher template in your Resources section that you can fill out with your details and the gift voucher details, which you can then give to your customer or as a raffle prize.
Are there advertising restrictions?
Yes, we have advertising restrictions to make our Agent program fair for all our Agents. Read your
Agent Star Guides Advertising Guidelines and the terms & conditions for more information.
Can I advertise on Facebook?
Yes, you can advertise on Facebook however you must separate yourself from the main BSK company. For example if you create a fan page you would call this 'Jenny Smith - Agent for Bright Star Kids'. Read your
Agent Star Guides Advertising Guidelines and the terms & conditions for more information.
Can I work with a Fundraising group and if so what will I get?
Ideally it's best to run a party with a local group that wants to raise
funds. This way you'll get the full 25% commission and the group will
get 10% back in cash.
If they are determined to run their own fundraiser then you can sign up a
group to fundraise with BSK and you will get equivalent of 15% of the
sales made in Gift Vouchers. When signing a group up make sure you are
listed on the form so we can link this group to you.

Are there any restrictions in where I can sell, e.g. eBay or any Internet site?
To protect the brand and reputation of Bright Star Kids, we have restrictions on where you can sell and promote Bright Star Kids products. We do NOT allow our Agents to sell Bright Star Kids products on eBay or any online auction site or discount store. You must read your

Can I sell through things like market stalls?
Yes, you can as long as the market is of a high standard and not like a car boot sale. This is a great way to get out into the community and spread the word about our fun range of products. Whilst you're at these events you can hand out brochures, which may help you to get more business in future.
Can I sell to friends and family in different suburbs, states or countries?
Yes, the great thing about having a BSK website is that you can sell to friends and family who live outside your local area. If you have friends and family in different suburbs, states or even countries you can get them to go directly to your website and buy through you.
Am I able to ask friends and family to promote on my behalf?
Yes, you are welcome and encouraged to get your friends and family involved in helping to promote your business. Great ideas are to put up posters in the workplace lunchroom, post an ad on the bulletin board and some large organisations may also allow internal advertising on their online bulletin boards. Just make sure to ask all relevant permissions before posting any adverts.
The newsletters customers receive, are they done by Bright Star Kids?
All official BSK newsletters are created by BSK head office, which goes
out to our newsletter subscriber list around once a month. Our Agents
are emailed more regularly with any updates such as new product launches
or upcoming sales, which give you time to prepare. If you want to
email your customers directly, you can keep a list of your customer's
email and email them directly if required ensuring you follow the
privacy guidelines in your
Agent Star Guides Advertising Guidelines (i.e. No SPAM).
How often are new products added to the website and do they get updated on the printed catalogue?
New products are added to our website all year round. We keep our Agents
and customers updated on a regular basis with what is happening by
email. We also try to showcase the most popular designs in our printed
catalogues, however not all products are listed as
there is not enough room. The catalogues are designed to entice your
customers to visit your website, which allows them to see all the
information before they purchase.
