Affiliate Program - Bright Star Kids

Why join?
As a Bright Star Kids affiliate you'll earn generous commissions (between 7%-15%) on every sale you generate through your referrals. The reason for using a tier commission structure is to reward our top performing affiliates with fantastic commissions.

How does Bright Star Kids affiliate program work?
It's easy. We'll provide a variety of adverts for you to cut & paste onto your site. You choose which ones to use, and where on your site to put them. When visitors come to your site and they click on one of the ads, they will end up at Bright Star Kids website. If they buy something from Bright Star Kids, then you'll get the set commission of whatever they've spent!

What does it cost to join?
Nothing. It's FREE to join the Bright Star Kids Affiliate Program, and you can cancel at any time.

Is my site eligible to become a Bright Star Kids affiliate?
With very few exceptions, yes. We reserve the right to refuse affiliate partnership to any site containing objectionable material, including pornography, explicit language or content, gambling or support for violent or discriminatory groups.

I don't have an actual website presence. Can I still join?
Yes you can still join our affiliate club, even if you don't actually have a website. You will need to be online though, and this can be through forums, blogging and emails. A clever way to promote your affiliation is through putting your affiliate code in your signature section when you are on forums and in your email. We do not endorse any SPAM email. Your account will be terminated if we discover any SPAM occurrence through your affiliate link.

My website is based outside Australia. Can I still be a Bright Star Kids affiliate?
Yes, we encourage international affiliates as we ship our products worldwide.

Can I link my site to Bright Star Kids and to other online stores at the same time?
Yes, no problem - what you do with your site is your business and we won't try to control any aspect of it.

Will you promote my site?
No. At this time, we don't promote affiliate sites. However if you would like to be added to our Useful Links page, please send us information and if we feel it will benefit our visitors, we will add your site as a resource.

Do I have to build an online store?
No, the links on your site will link directly to Bright Star Kids. Once a customer clicks on the link, your job's done - we deal with everything after that (taking payment, delivery etc). So if you want to promote our products using for example your forum signature or email, that's no problem and you may see very good results.

Setting Up Links

How do I create links to Bright Star Kids?
Once your site has been approved, log in to the Affiliates Area and select the adverts that you would like to use. You can add as many or as few as you like to your site. Adding the link is a straightforward case of "copy & paste" but if you need any help, visit our Instructions & Tips page.

What are my responsibilities as a Bright Star Kids affiliate?
You're responsible for using the Media Centre to choose links and place them on your site. We don't expect anything else of you (ie: no sales "targets" etc). We value you as an affiliate regardless of whether you're referring 1 customer or 1000 customers a month.

What are Bright Star Kids responsibilities?
Bright Star Kids will provide you with the tools and support you need to establish yourself as an affiliate. We also handle orders, delivery, billing, customer care, sales reporting. and ensuring you get your commission payments.

Can I take orders on my site and send the information to Bright Star Kids?
No. Bright Star Kids will process all orders directly.

Tracking and Payment

How are orders tracked and credited to my website?
All links from your website to Bright Star Kids contain your unique source ID. Every time a customer comes to Bright Star Kids via your site and makes a purchase, we'll know to credit your site. The sales are tracked using well tested software which is part of the system that we use to run our entire store.

How will I monitor my sales?
Reports are generated in real-time - you can access them anytime by logging in to your account. These reports give you a variety of information, including how many customers linked to Bright Star Kids from your site, and how much your site has earned in commission.

How much will I be paid?
You'll receive a set commission for every final sale - a "final" sale is one where an order has been placed, payment received the goods dispatched and a 28 day period to allow for returns has elapsed. If someone comes to our site via yours and doesn't purchase anything on that visit, you'll still get the commission if they come back and buy an item within 28 days.

When and how will I be paid?
Rather than sending out a constant stream of small payments, we'll send a payment to you at the end of each month as long as the amount due reaches $50 AUD. If, for some reason, you choose to leave the program before reaching the threshold, we'll send a final payment of whatever is due. Payment will be made directly into your bank account (Australia only), by cheque or into a Paypal account if you prefer.

I operate more than one website. Can you track them separately?
You can put your unique affiliate i.d. on as many website's as you like, however they will all appear as the one account. Therefore if you need to track them separately you will need to open up different accounts for each website.
