It was a really fun and easy project to do. I used a metallic paint for the ocean and it glistens with the sunlight on it. It really adds a sparkle.

My son did manage to peel off some of the stickers though. I went in after his sleep one day to discover several of the sea horses were decapitated! I was upset at first but found it really easy to stick them back on in the right place and it’s almost impossible to tell.

A tip to get a smooth line between the colours: Use masking tape to make the line then paint the lighter colour over the tape, let it dry then paint the dark paint. The lighter colour will have filled in those tiny wrinkle marks that are left when the paint bleeds under the tape. Also, the metallic paint is intentionally streaky, it helps reflect the light. I used a wide paint brush to apply it instead of a roller.

We were hunting high and low for some good removable wall/glass stickers so we could babyproof our apartment.

"The Fairy Wonderland decals are really great. My daughter had them surrounding her single bed, so that when she lay down her head was surrounded with fairies. Then our family grew and we had to move her sibling into the room too. This meant that the single bed became two bunk beds. This then led to the problem that the upper bunk was now in line with all the previously applied stickers. However, not to worry because I found I could peel off all the stickers from their original position and reapply them higher up on the wall to allow my daughter to be able to see them again as she lay in her new bed.

Recently the fairy stickers have taken on a new development in our life, because I have been encouraged by my four year old daughter to tell stories about fairies and the very imaginative pictures have helped me create a wonderful fairy land with Fairy Princesses who live in castles and ordinary fairies who ride on the backs of dragon flies."
